Our new book “Where is Everyone?” available now.

The story is about Billy the bullock during lockdown. Huge thanks to the Friends of Clark’s Little Ark for their help putting the book together and to Gillian Smith for her help getting it to the printers.
The story involves happy memories. Special thanks to Cara, her team, and the young people from The Upper Nithsdale Youth Committee for making a lovely DVD, which will go along with the book.
The book will cost £5 and the DVD is free.
We hope you enjoy it and all proceeds will go towards keeping the Ark free of charge for everyone.

Most people love animals. And that lead to the almost inadvertent arrival  of a special project that has become so popular it can boast a prestigious community award.

Clark’s Little Ark began life as home for Alison and Ian Shankly’s miniature Shetland ponies and donkeys.

The small piece of land near the old brickworks in Sanquhar soon began to attract interest from local people who, increasingly, began to visit.

That was in 2012 and, a year later, a family tragedy turned the venture into a heart warming and inspirational story.
